Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Posizione lavorativa
Provide support under the guidance of the NCS Team, including but not limited to, in the following tasks:
- Pre-Games Time:
Assist the National Olympic Committees in their preparations for the Games;
Collaborate with Functional Area (FA) leads on final preparations and service-level reviews across various FAs;
Monitor and follow up on different operational projects;
Help with the last mile preparations and set up of the NOC Services Centres;
Assist with the training and the management of NOC Assistants;
- Games-Time:
Coordinate and execute essential operations within the assigned cluster;
Assist with the daily operations of NOC Services Centre and the implementation of policies and procedures;
Serve as the primary point of contact for NOCs, proactively identifying, addressing, and resolving issues as they arise;
Provide daily updates to the reporting line on key developments and challenges;
Support the pre-planning and delivery of the NOC and athlete journey for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies;
Assist in the preparation and execution of Chefs de Mission meetings and other special briefings, including taking meeting minutes and tracking NOC-related issues for follow-up;
Monitor Functional Area (FA) services and Games-time hotlines to ensure efficient service delivery and issue resolution.
Profilo ricercato
Requirements:
- Goal oriented and proactive;
- Exceptional organisation skills and ability to organise and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously;
- Ability to prioritise and deal with complexities;
- Ability to work under pressure, handle difficult situations with diplomacy in coordination with the line manager and deliver within the deadlines;
- Availability to work long hours and on weekends when necessary;
- Availability for Games-Time assignment in the mountain clusters (Livigno or Bormio);
- Languages: excellent level of English is required. Knowledge of Italian and other languages will constitute a preference.
